COVID-19 UPDATE: Click Here for Current Adoption Procedures
Microchipping is available by appointment Monday through Thursday from 12:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m. The cost of a microchip is $25.00 and includes the activation of the microchip through PetLink.
A microchip is a permanent ID tag that your pet will never lose. The microchip itself has no internal energy source, so it will last the life of your pet. The chip is read by passing a microchip scanner over the shoulder blades of your pet. The scanner emits a low radio frequency that can detect the unique code from the chip implanted in your pet. Having your pet microchipped will increase the chances of reuniting you with your lost pet.
