The Toledo Humane Society believes that respect for living things, including animals and people, begins with education. The THS Education Department offers a variety of single and multi-day programs designed to appeal to different age groups and interests. To accommodate the busy schedules of students, we offer educational opportunities after school and on Saturdays. Costs will vary from program to program.

Experience a one-of-a-kind birthday by spending it with the Toledo Humane Society! Our party room is available for rental on select Saturdays from 1 PM to 3 PM. Please fill out our "Birthday Party Request Form" and email it to Jackie at jackiek@toledohumane.org to request your date!

The Toledo Humane Society is pleased to offer programs for Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. Programs cover steps toward earning your badge. (Badges are available through the Scout Council upon completion).
Teens will learn and practice teaching shelter dogs tricks like shake, roll over, and MORE in this hands-on workshop.
This exciting camp focuses on a different theme each day. Campers will explore pets and the animal kingdom through games, art, a field trip to a local farm, a guest speaker and so much more! Hands-on TLC time with our animals is always the best part of the day.
This mini-version of our popular Animal Adventure Camp is perfect for the first time campers and animal handlers. Explorers will learn about pets, and animal safety through stories, games, art, and enjoy TLC time with our pets.

Teens ages 12–16 can bring their own pup for a 5-week program starting April 15th . Each Wednesday from 6–7pm, teams will practice basic training, learn animal safety, and have fun together. Limited to 4 participants. Dogs must be 6+ months, spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, human- and dog-friendly, and have a recent negative fecal test.
Join the AAA club and learn about THS, pet care, animal behavior, spaying & neutering, tour the shelter, read to the animals, play animal-themed games, and visit with our adoptable animals!
