The THS Education Department offers a variety of single and multi-day programs designed to appeal to different age groups and interests. To accommodate the busy schedules of students, we offer educational opportunities after school and on Saturdays. Costs will vary from program to program.

Tails Around Toledo welcomes members of the community to visit the shelter and take one of our adoptable dogs out for a day on the town. You can give a dog a chance to stretch his or her legs, ride in the car, grab a yummy treat, and more! Our new program will be offered Sunday-Friday with advanced sign up required.

Come join the fun! Play an animal themed game, make a fun craft, make an enrichment treat for our cats, tour the shelter and visit with a few of our furry friends. A snack and juice will be provided.
The Toledo Humane Society is pleased to offer programs for Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. Programs cover steps toward earning your badge. (Badges are available through the Scout Council upon completion).
The Toledo Humane Society offers both onsite and offsite classroom visits designed to educate and promote a more compassionate community where respect for living things, including animals and people, begins with education.
The Toledo Humane Society offers engraved owner ID tags for purchase, as well as microchip implantation by appointment. The cost of a microchip is $25.00 and includes the activation of the microchip through 24PetWatch. A microchip is a permanent ID tag that your pet will never lose. The microchip itself has no internal energy source, so it will last the life of your pet.
